Cynthia Hotz-Pelini, DVM
Dr. Pelini is a native of Toledo, Ohio and has been a Wayne County resident for the past 25+ years. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University (GO BUCKS!!) College of Veterinary Medicine and has been in private practice for over 25 years. Her speciality is small animal medicine.
Dr. Pelini has three children and much to her disdain, none of them have followed in her footsteps to pursue veterinary medicine. She is a housemother to her dog Gypsy, and two cats, Hoot and Black Jack.
Stephanie Grenert Clegg, DVM
Dr. Clegg is originally from Wooster and excited to be back serving her hometown. She is a 2010 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Clegg completed one year of advanced training in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA Newark Animal Hospital in Newark, Delaware. She then followed her husband and the Air Force around the country, practicing in a variety of clinical settings. Her special interests included emergency/critical care, ophthalmology, and soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Clegg lives locally with her husband and kids. They have one dog, Reese and a horse, Remington. She enjoys the outdoors, eating ice cream, good books, and Ohio State football. GO BUCKS!!
You will meet Janet as you walk in the front door of our clinic. She is responsible for scheduling appointments, billing and other office procedures. She and her husband, Herb, are life-time Wayne County residents. She was a 4-H advisor for many years, and enjoys watching her grandchildren show their projects at the Wayne County Fair.
Registered Veterinary Technician
Cassie graduated from Wilson College in Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medical Technology. She completed her internship at Akron Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center, where she gained experience in all departments, including internal medicine, emergency medicine, rehabilitation and cardiology. She recently married her husband, Joe. They live with their dogs Wiley, a rescued American Carolina Dingo, and Eleven, their Siberian Husky. Cassie likes hiking and playing volleyball, and has recently joined an adult fall volleyball team. In the summer, she plays sand volleyball.
Elise is another Veterinary Assistant here at AAC. Elise is currently in college with the hopes of becoming a Veterinarian one day! Elise loves animals of all sizes, and has a variety of pocket pets at home she cares for. Elise also teaches Zumba in her spare time, and took ballet for most of her life!
Melissa is the newest addition to our AAC family! Melissa began working for AAC in February of 2018. Melissa has two kids, a dog, and a cat. She graduated from Florida Institute of Animal Arts with a degree in Vet Assistant II Exotics. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys spending time with her kids and her pets.
